Meet The Team

Sebastien Croteau

aka The Final Boss

Sebastien Croteau has worked as a creature voice actor for over 19 years. He is intimately familiar with the world of creatures and monsters, having voiced over 400 of them across more than 40 films and video games. As CEO, he oversees every aspect of the production process, from the initial meeting to final delivery. His experience as both a voice talent and a gamer has helped him cultivate a unique set of professional skills in his niche.

Sebastien began voice direction in 2017, and since then, he has served as a voice and casting director for over 20 video games. Creature vocalizations require a different approach to casting and voice direction, and Sebastien is well-versed in this. It’s not uncommon to hear him help voice actors with various vocalizations by demonstrating the sounds himself. He understands the potential and limitations of every vocal effect.

Sebastien’s dedication and expertise in creature and monster voice design have gained international recognition. He has been invited to speak about his work at numerous international events and video game conferences. Over the past four years, he has delivered over 20 talks in 9 different countries, receiving praise for his detailed and engaging presentations.

His contagious enthusiasm and passion for monster and creature sounds, combined with his extensive experience, have convinced many companies and audio professionals to collaborate with him.

“To be or not to be a monster, that is the question. We chose to be monsters, and we love every second of it!” — Sebastien Croteau

Misha Standjofski – Project Manager & Assistant Voice Director

aka The Mini-Boss

Misha has been working with The Monster Factory since 2023 as both a Project Manager and Assistant Voice Director. With an extensive background in voice acting, he initially gained experience performing character voices in critically acclaimed games such as Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Baldur’s Gate 3, Hellblade 2, and Dead by Daylight, among others. Expanding his expertise into project management and voice direction, Misha has since managed and directed a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from indie gems to AAA titles.

Having trained in the performing arts, Misha brings an actor’s insight to his work as a voice director. He is particularly skilled in creature and monster vocalizations, a niche he has passionately pursued under the mentorship of Sebastien Croteau.
His dedication and professionalism, combined with his genuine passion for all things audio, have earned him strong, lasting relationships with clients and collaborators alike.

Misha’s deep understanding of both the creative and technical aspects of voice direction ensures that every project he oversees is delivered with precision and care. Whether it’s a small indie title or a massive AAA production, Misha’s goal is always the same: to ensure our clients are thrilled (and occasionally terrified) by the monstrous sounds our team brings to life.

“Get in the booth. NOW!” — Misha Standjofski

James Duhamel – Audio Supervisor

aka Spectral Geek

As the founder of Tone Studio, James Duhamel has been at the forefront of audio production for over 25 years. He has composed music for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Extraction, including its themes, in-game tracks, and trailers. A versatile mixer for both linear and interactive media, James has recorded thousands of hours of voiceover for television, film, and video games. In recent years, he has become the go-to partner for The Monster Factory’s Montreal-based voice recordings and post-production.

It was a natural progression for James to join The Monster Factory as Audio Supervisor, where his primary focus is understanding client needs and delivering audio recordings of unmatched quality. His expertise with high-fidelity recording and mixing, combined with his intuitive grasp of both creative and technical workflows, ensures that every project exceeds expectations.

“I hear dead people... and I can record them in 192 kHz, 24 bits—in Reaper or Pro Tools.” — James Duhamel
